HVAC Technician Duties And Responsibilities

HVAC Technicians have several responsibilities. Depending on the specifics of a job, their primary duty is to either maintain systems or install new units in both our residential and commercial accounts. In fact, most HVAC Technicians spend much of their time alternating between these two roles. Other common responsibilities for HVAC Technicians include:

·  Performing routine maintenance

·  Communicating with clients and customers

·  Meeting local HVAC codes

 

What Does An HVAC Technician Do?

An HVAC Technician is a maintenance professional responsible for repairing HVAC and other air quality systems for various businesses or homes. They’re typically responsible for keeping this equipment clean, fixed and maintained for customers. HVAC Technicians work to locate any dangerous features on an HVAC system that could be harmful to the users’ health. They’ll also regularly clean, adjust and repair these systems, along with any warranty maintenance.

 

HVAC Technician Skills And Qualifications

HVAC work is challenging, both in terms of the technical knowledge needed for the job and the difficulty of diagnosing and repairing HVAC equipment. Problem-solving is a big part of the job, and workers need good communication skills so they can explain what repairs need to be made and why. HVAC Technicians also need a variety of highly technical skills and qualifications, including:

·  Reading and interpreting wiring diagrams

·  Understanding refrigeration cycles

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• Licensed Journeyman Plumber in state of Wisconsin

• Related experience in residential and/or commercial maintenance sales and/or service ideal.

• Must have outstanding communication skills, customer service and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to professionally represent Royal Flush Plumbing & Heating, LLC. to our clients while on service calls.

• Must have a valid Wisconsin driver's license, clean MVR and dependable transportation that’s accessible on a daily basis; must be willing to consent to a comprehensive background check and drug screen.
